What is efoil?

efoil is the e-service provider for the global aluminum foil industry.   efoil enables buyers, sellers and intermediaries in the global foil industry to improve efficiency, cut costs, improve reliability and reduce transaction costs.

How does efoil work?

efoil is entirely web-based.  No capital investment is required by any user of efoil.  efoil enables participants to source supply continuously, using confidential buy and sell inquiries.  These inquiries are monitored continuously by efoil's systems.  efoil provides each inquiring party with daily reports on matched rankings, and enables parties to complete transactions on-line.  efoil's confidential matching system maintains strict confidentiality of business information - no inquiries or catalogs are publicly posted.

efoil also provides tools and services that automate the entire purchase / order production / delivery cycle, to enable predictable deliveries and improved efficiencies.

Who are the shareholders of efoil?

efoil was formed by significant participants in the global foil industry, in partnership with technologists and business executives from outside the industry.  efoil is privately owned.  efoil's list of significant stockholders is available to participants and potential participants, on request.

Is my data on efoil confidential?

All participant data on efoil is encrypted.  Access to efoil data is strictly limited to technical, accounting, service and legal employees of efoil whose duties require access, and then only to the extent required.

Who owns my data?

Participants own their own data.  If a participant decides to drop their membership in efoil, their data will be erased at their request.  Exceptions to this policy are:

• requirements of law: data will be maintained as required by law
• efoil accounting and trading rule compliance:  efoil will maintain data solely as required by its own accounting requirements and to ensure compliance with efoil's terms of service
• jointly shared data: jointly shared data is owned by the parties sharing the data, and will not be removed from the efoil system unless all the parties have requested its deletion
• technical limitations: technical limitations, such as the necessity to back up data, may limit in some instances efoil's ability to delete party-owned data

efoil does not disclose participant data or participant identities to any third party, without their express consent.

How much does efoil cost?

efoil charges monthly fees for membership and for use of specific services.  efoil does not charge percentage-of-transaction based fees.  Contact us for more information.

Is any training required to learn to use efoil?

efoil is designed to be easy to learn and can be used immediately. Our customers find that using efoil is similar to using other Web sites - extremely intuitive and user friendly. If you know how to use the Web, you will know how to use efoil.

Is training available if I need it?

We offer free training for users and administrators of the efoil service. The sessions are held through the Internet, conveniently allowing you to participate right from your office.

What changes to my internal systems are required to use efoil?

None. efoil applications are accessed through the Internet via a Web browser and require no modifications or upgrades to your existing environment. All you need is Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5.0 or higher) or Netscape Navigator (version 7 or higher), and you are ready to use efoil. Because there is no hardware, software, or network equipment to purchase, and the application is accessed through a standard Web browser, your IT department will not need to implement or maintain this service.

Can I import my existing data into efoil?

Yes, but this requires the involvement of efoil's staff to set up, so please contact us.

Can I export my efoil data to my system?

Yes.  efoil provides data export capabilities in standard XML format intended for incorporation in standard commercial SQL databases.  Contact us to work out the details.
